There’s a reason everybody else is posting this. It’s awesome.

 

What’s not mentioned is that even this is a fairly optimistic view, in a lot of ways. Mainly, that it’s a pretty safe bet we’re going to hit two degrees of warming, even if we stop using fossil fuels today. There’s a buildup of greenhouse gasses in the system, and evidence of a number of active feedback loops.

Add to that the fact that the impacts of what little warming we’ve already seen have been worse than anticipated, and you realize this is the sort of video that should have been the norm ten years ago.
